My own family photo session

I've been wanting a family photo session of MY family for a long time and I finally scheduled it with the amazingly creative Jess Cumbie. I've had two previous sessions with her- a sensual session & a Trash the Dress session. She is a truly amazing photographer.
And although I'm very picky when it comes to pictures of myself, I love photos from this session we had on Friday. We split the session- the first half was me, Carlos & Charlie and the 2nd was a steamy, romantic session with just me and my hottie (and exhasuted!) husband. I posted a few of my favs from the session.
Thank you Jess & Tara for an amazing session and photos that both me and my family will treasure for a lifetime.

Last call!

Yesterday I was my final photo session for the holiday rush and phewww....I made it in time! Somehow I was able to take the photos yesterday and wrap up the editing last night and this morning. The beach was just AMAZING yesterday. What a great afternoon to be outside, even if I am working. (Although I don't really consider it "work"). Here are a few of my favs from this session with my friends Brian, Jamie & Meagan.

(Thanks to Jess & Tara for this pose idea. I think this is my very favorite from the session)

Our annual Christmas tradition

Every year since...well, before Charlie was even born, we visit MGM Studios in Orlando for the Osbourne Family Spectacle of Lights. If you haven't been to see this amazingly amazing display of Christmas lights, you need to go! The lights dance to music and fake snow falls from the sky. Thankfully, my wonderful stepdad works for Disney so we are able to go whenever we want for free. (Otherwise, this probably wouldn't be a tradition. I didn't bring my DSLR camera to the park in fear of losing, breaking or dropping it. I'm a little paranoid like that. But I brought my point & shoot which seemed to not be working properly.
Enjoy a few photos from our day at Disney & hope everyone is all ready for the holidays! Christmas is in just over a week now...INSANITY!!!

Sweet & Silly

On Sunday I had a Father/Daugther session with Tim & Sierra. It was a little cloudy out but these two brightened up the beach! Here are a few of my favorites from the session:

Deckin' the halls

Our house is all ready for Santa now! My Grandma has given me a Barbie Christmas ornament every year since 1992 so I have a ton (well, 15 to be exact). This is my very favorite one. And one day my daughter will find herself with an awesome collection of ornaments too.

Last little bit of North Carolina

Our friends, Steve & Kim with their little ones Raechel & Luke. Miss them already!

This was real- an old sink attached to a chicken house with this awesome ivy growing in and all around it. This was the awesomeness that was his Aunt & Uncle's farm land.
and me, Carlos & Charlie.

Go Pirates!

While in G-Vegas, we also went to a East Carolina University football game. Not a big football fan but it's always fun attending events live. And even more fun when you go with such great friends that you haven't seen in almost 2 years, the Moseley's.
Little Luke

Not a fair of cheerleaders either but I AM a fan of my zoom lens! I really haven't had the opportunity to use it much so the football game was the perfect time.
And the coach for ECU is Skip Holtz, who is Lou Holtz's son. That's pretty cool (thanks Carlos:)

And Charlie always inspires me

The fall leaves were everywhere- so pretty! I love living in Florida but visiting NC makes me want more actual seasons- you know, the trees changing color, the leaves on the ground...maybe it's just me. But I think Charlie liked it too...

This is a photo from behind Carlos' aunt's house. Obviously, they live out in the country...isn't it so relaxing?

More of the country life...

While in Greenville, I couldn't help but take a ton of photos. Carlos' Aunt has an amazing array of misc. farm equipment, animals & other photographic scenery which inspired me. There was something about this big, huge dog named Porter that I loved- I think it was in his eyes.
